The Youthaiti Center for Sustainable Development is our base of operations, an education center, a community gathering place, and provides accommodations for people who travel from overseas or from other communities for a day or a week of training programs.
The Center provides many young Haitians with their first “hands-on” experience with ecological technologies including 3 styles of ecological toilets, permaculture, and household container gardening and experimenting with other sustainable practices such as ecological charcoal manufacture. Although our building is complete, there are many projects we dream of doing there still: rainwater capture, increased solar electric capacity, aquaponics, and ongoing educational programs for youth and young adults.
Your support helps our programs continue to grow! Please consider becoming a sustaining member of our Center for Sustainable Development.
